All Renaissance teachers
are cleared to teach
All
Renaissance teachers hold police clearance - schools can
use Renaissance teachers with confidence.
New
regulations announced on 20 June 2006 relate mainly to the
responsibility of schools and colleges. Renaissance
Education will assist schools and colleges in every way to
comply with the new, forthcoming regulations. (See DfES

These
regulations will also cover the responsibility of schools
to request full details and veracity of CRB checks carried
out on agency staff. Again, Renaissance Education will
continue to cooperate in every way with these
requirements.
All our
teachers are already subject to the following:

a
Criminal Records Bureau enhanced disclosure
-
a
List 99 check carried out before they are sent to any
school
-
if
from overseas, a recent police check from their
country of origin
All
Renaissance teachers are issued with a photo-ID card which
they are asked to carry with them while working for
Renaissance.
As from 1
July 2006, we have changed our contracts with all our
teachers so that -

means that any teacher sent to a school by Renaissance
complies in full with current and forthcoming clearance
requirements. Schools can use our teachers with
complete confidence.
